Applied STEM & Technical Education
Connect drones, spatial thinking, and technical skills through activities designed around the learner.

Purpose & applications
Learn the technology by working together.
- Mini-drone assembly: connect components, instructions, and teamwork.
- Indoor flight activities: discuss equipment, supervision, and an appropriate setting.
- Map-based learning: ask a location question, explore evidence, and explain a result.
From method to a useful result
An activity could include
01
A guided build or practical exercise with a clear learning goal.
02
Time to test, troubleshoot, and explain what happened.
03
A short reflection connecting the activity to real technical work.
Outputs are agreed to suit the project, available data, and availability.
Start with what
needs to happen.
Start with the learners: age group, goals, group size, venue, equipment, and support needs. Shape the activity around what participants should understand and be able to do. Charlie is a member of the US Drone Soccer Association; specific programs and formats are discussed individually.
